For Active Listings Find out the number of items currently active in various price bands.
For Completed Items you can find - Average number of Bids / item - Average selling price by day / week / month - Selling price range - Average Selling Fixed Price - Average start price - Start price range - Last item sold price in that category - Total number of completed items - Total number of sold items - Average bids per item
All the data searched through the Marketplace Research tool is presented in through Graphs and also in a table format.
Tip: - As a seller you can use this information while defining how many bids you can expect, the start price , the Buy it now price you should set and a lot more. - As a buyer you can decide what price you should bid/ buy the item.
To find out the most searched keywords follow these simple steps: - Go to the Top Searches section within Marketplace Research - Enter the item title or select the category and click on the Show top searches button to see a list of keywords within that category.
You will see a list of top searched keywords and the number of unique searches for that word.
Tip: Make sure to include these words in your item title so that you get maximum exposure for your products. The next time a buyer searches for a product with these keywords your listing will also show up.
Here are some more safety tips you should keep in mind while selling on eBay.
Beware of Spoof Mails Spoof emails are emails that fake the appearance of a popular Web site or company in an attempt to commit identity theft. These emails claim to be sent by well-known companies and ask consumers to reply with personal information, such as their credit card number, banking details or account password.
You may come across emails that look like they have come from eBay, however they may be Spoof. Make sure you have the eBay toolbar that will warn you against any Fake sites. It is a Free Tool. You can download it by clicking on the following link. http://pages.ebay.in/ebay_toolbar/
- Review a member's eBay reputation.
- Use the Block bidder tool to block bidders who have negative feedback / Unpaid Item Strikes/ buyers from countries you are not willing to ship to/ bidders who are not verified.

With regards to your interest to sell for others we do have a Trading Assistant Program on eBay whereby you can become a Trading Assistant and sell on behalf of others. However to become a Trading Assistant you have to be an experienced eBay seller. Hence once you fulfill the Trading Assistant Eligibilty criteria you can Update your profile as a Trading Assistant.
Eligibility criteria to become a Trading Assistant: - You've sold at least 4 items in the past 30 days. - You have a feedback score of 50 or higher. - 90% or more of your feedback is positive. - Your eBay account is in good standing.
