hi ! sapna, i wish to insrease my international business in gemstones. the international fees i charge is rs 1999.00.this is so because my courier delivers it in 4 days max though i have mentioned in my listings that it will take 7 to 15 days.this also includes the cost of customs and ebay final value fees etc. now i get many querries saying that my charges are high.how can i cut on this i dont know. i see other ebayers giving real low international shipping charges.i dont know how they can give such low charges.they are infact misleading and genuine sellers are the loosers.can you throw some light on this if i am wrong? thanks n regards nakatib

Es gab in den USA schon mehrere Verfahren gegen Paypal. Paypal zog vor dem Schuldspruch einen Vergleich mit den Klägern vor und zahlte etliche Millionen Dollar aus. Paypal sieht das aber nicht als Eingeständnis, sondern als Geste. Klagen in Europa sind besonders schwierig, da sich paypal in England versteckt, wo das Bankensystem noch vorsintflutlich arbeitet. Die dortigen Gesetze haben kaum etwas mit denen der deutschen zu tun.
Ums kurz zu machen: Es gibt gute Alternativen zu paypal wie Leider darf man bei ebay Foren keine Namen nennen, da das sonst Folgen haben könnte. Innerhalb Europas kann man sehr schnell und meist gratis mit IBAN und BIC (Swift), den internationalen Bankdaten Geld überweisen. Auch aus der Schweiz! Auf jedem Fall kann ich jeden mündigen Konsumenten nur ausdrücklich davor warnen, sich bei paypal anzumelden oder damit zu zahlen. Hii, PLease tell what is the limit for wholesale business on ebay.in When international customer pays even Rs. 10000/- via credit card, paisapay needs photocopies of credit card and even a written aggrement from card holder.. Paisapay considers this amount as HIGH VALUE. You people needs to work on paisapay first. we want to sell internationally via ebay. Is there any way (via ebay/paisapay) we can accept large amount.........not paisapay pleaseeee...... customer dont want to fax copies of credit card.

As I hadn been - not only suggesting BUT REQUESTING TOO - the baazee faature - of seller deciding the Bid increment should be irrevocably reinstated . As most of the Sellers experience and report in absence of this the high priced item do not fetch even the cost - of started at Rs. 1/=. Ots a loss NOT only to e-bay but sellers at large . For this reason ONLY , I have stopped all my listings of Digicams , which once was my HIGHEST selling items and for ebay (formerly Baazeew) the HIGHEST selling item.

There are two ways to list products to target International Buyers. 1)List on ebay.in and select International Shipping as an option 2)Directly list on eBay.com or other International sites
Re. Shipping, one can ship both single item as well as bulk. It will be useful to speak to a courier company and they will guide you through the shipping process.

We plan to create wholesale lots as a sub category under each of our main categories and will map these with the relevant categories in the ebay.com. So if a seller lists under these categories on eBay.in and selects International Shipping option, the listings will appear in the default search on eBay.com
If you want to start selling right away, then you can list under the whole sale lots on www.ebay.com/wholesale
Few Tips on selling wholesale
Designing your lots -Size lots to appeal to small resellers or consumers -Typical lot prices are Rs. 5000 – Rs. 65000 -Unit counts vary by category -Buyers look for Volume discounts and a low starting price
Include lot, bulk, resale, wholesale, pallet or other keywords in your listing title
Include number of items in your title. eg. Lot of 100 Sarees

Well we have been thinking of this since some time now, and I guess it's the right time to FOCUS on this CATEGORY AS WELL....We are talking about the WHOLESALE CATEGORY....
Most of the International Orders that we have got uptill now are from Direct Customers buying for this OWN Usage..But apart form this there are lot of queries for Wholesale as well. Indian markets have huge potential for doing a lots of Wholesale Deals across different Product Categories....
We Would strongly like to suggest some key points here to enhance the Possibilities of Bulk Trades...
1.) Further Sub - Categorization of our Wholesale Category into Main Categories like Apparels, Home and Furnishing, Handicrafts and Artifacts, Marbles, and JEWELRY...the MOST IMPORTANT ONE>....
2.) Secondly we Propose to HIGHLIGHT EBAY INDIA's WHOLESALE CATEGORY on the MAIN EBAY INDIA LANDING PAGE and also run a major promotion on all possible pages, arenas and Scope of EBAY INDIA....
3.) The Top Categories : APPARELS, JEWELRY and HANDICRAFTS etc....can be highlighted here and are GUARANTEED to fetch TOP NOTCH sales for all those who can do wholesale...
4.) To Promote more Listings and Participation from Sellers, you can also RUN the INTERNATIONAL LISTING Fee of Rs.15 and Rs.30 WAIVED OFF for atleast a MONTH so that this category can get the Maximum Response and Quality listings....
5.) The Featured Listing as well as The homepage Listings and Anyother Fees applicable ( accept Final value Fees ) for Dutch Auctions that are applied as per the Quantity in the Auction, should be Waived Off in this Promotion Period.

Dear Sapna, I need a clarification. I list an iitem today, and while it was online, I requested my cousin who is in US to log on to Ebay.in and search for my name and then search for my listing. But she said that she could not see my listing. Can you tell me why does this happen??

The key to success is to make your products available Internationally. You can do this by selection to ship worldwide when you create a listing in the 'Sell your Item' Form.
