What i think is....
it is really useless to follow up with ebay. You wont get any sought of help from ebay.
What you get is a pre written text which is a ready reply which is just copied and pasted with some links to go through which really sucks.
help yourself and forget it...
The entire structure of eBay is highly geared towards sellers. A buyer has absolutely nothing in his or her favour.For example, nowhere until you 'Confirm to Buy' can you get to know the total cost (shipping, insurance, etc) in a single place.
My money has been stolen and there is nothing I can do about it. Thank you eBay!

B-) I bought a item, 2 days later I recieve mail from eBay, seller suspended. Anyhow a few of us who purchased contacted each other, as seller informed he was suspended for listing in wrong category. Why scare us, why blow something out of proprtion, we thought he was a fraud.

Anyhow seller has sent us links, case stories. After studying them I can tell both shreyas_shah2512 or buyers cheated that eBay cheats both. They cheat buyers by suspending registration & asking them to take action thru police,banks etc while it is their job (escaping responsibility). They love fraud sellers, because they make huge amounts of money in Listings, as they appear, disappear and Re-appear.

eBay cheats genuine sellers where eBay has cheated numerous people via PayPal. They pay sellers and ask them to ship item/ items. 2-3 days after despatch they inform sellers that buyers were frauds - Tel Nos, addresses cannot be verified, to immediately return money with any dues. If not, they debit money from sellers bank a/c from previous Authorisation codesetc.

Read 'Al-Quaida pays eBay to transmit messages? ' by Mansur Rizvi on 'feedback to eBay India". They collaborate with Al-Qauida to pass messages on eBay sites , and the 2001 USA bombing terrorists used eBay. When Al-Q uses the music section to pass messages, to prove themselves innocent eBay scanned millions of images to prove themselves innocent. Why this cover-up. Even today Al-Q sites propagate the art of Stenography and have been doing from years.

eBay is sick, mad for money - will do anything. So don't be surprised. They do not support Sellers or Buyers, they support only Fraud Sellers & Buyers, this is where the moolah is - Listings Listings and more Listings.

Why is action not taken against frauds, rather they are promptly suspended - to cover-up to make a come-back. Today e-Sham tommorrow i-Sham etc etc. , while eBay laughs all the way to the bank - escaping all responsibility. In the US they have argued in court it is Not their reponsibility but ours to patrol site and inform ......Shameless

Res. Sir,
I am small Businessman and I am ebay menber with user ID nebupat and suffering from the Charge Back problem from 8 Members. Actually I got the payment from paisapay and i send the material after sone days my account is debited from 8 item as a charge back the total of charge back goes to Rs. 12000.00 how can i get back. and tomorrow i am faxing the all the POD required. My question is also that how can ebay debit the amount from our account without giving any email to us.

Sir, please help me for this problem.

I am tired of relisting my item on eBay since u guys just have FRAUD Buyers. I think you guys should come up with some solution for the FRAUD BUYERS ISSUE.

Hi! all,
I had a dispute with a seller & written about that to
ebay.i got replay from Mr. KRISH of ebay india team.
I would like to highlight few of his words from his mail :(I found that the auction for the phone that you purchased was removed because it breached one or more of our listing policies.).
Don’t you think that it is totally unfair to remove a listing after a winning bid that too without informing the buyer about this . It was done three or four days after the bid had ended with a winner. I had received a confirmation mail about winning & was requested to pay for it. so I can say eBay is involved in this & this is one kind of cheating. I now realize how good is ebay india service & how it is protecting buyer’s interest because after this incident also the same seller was listing the same product.
I do not find Mr. Krish's response useful & up to my satisfaction. This was my fault that i trusted eBay like Baazee & now suffering after paying. Seller says it is not his fault & forcing me to remove the negative rating & ebay peoples are crying about there policies. Then what should a buyer do in such cases? What is our fault?
After paying, I am being asked to talk to seller or go through eBay's lengthy process which will really work?..."god only knows".
My question is then for what eBay team peoples are there & what way they are protecting a buyer on their site? Just for claiming a small amount I have to spend more than the money what I have paid for the winning product as internet charges & Lots of tension & wastage of my time is an extra Bonus from eBay.
My suggetion is,In place of replying with such nonsense ideas, please do something really useful, if eBay is not involved in such frauds. Hope you can understand my situation & will take some useful stuff to protect our interest & faith with eBay.

I had paid for item Talk Back Parrot - A Unique Item (6006577606)from salespromotion1964 and paid using paisa pay PaisaPay ID 14502467580 .it ois been atleast 3 weeks there is no news about the item , i tried to contact the seller through mails and his phone number .he is not responded so far and looking at his profile and the kind of negative rating he has got iguess he is a bogus seller. i want to know how ebay can get my money back and keep a heck on such bogus guys.

Hello E Bay India Team,

Here is a suggestion for you to make bidder alert about bids placed.

You can provide the facility of cellphone sms alerts for bids won/outbid/ending those a bidder had placed.

Some charge for this can be collected from the member or it can be provided free.

You can give the member an option of reminding him about the bid won/ending/outbid, while a member is placing a bid.

This will be a really good way to get updated about the status of bids for a bidder, when he is offline, since it can not always be possible to access net all time.

This is a suggestion from Munjal Shah (Member id: munjal_in2) to provide better service to the community members.

Dear Mr. Thakkar,

Is there any methodology to trace a fraud seller on ebay.
It is around three -four months back i purchased a watch online and paid around 300 bucks through EFT. To my surprise i havenot received the product as yet and even the winning details have vanished from the "won" view of my ebay as this is more than 60 days old episode.
Can you help me trace my product and resolve to tackle a problem like this please.

Presently your support is only with sellers & buyers has to suffer like me.I never had any problem with Baazee but i am sorry to say,with my first transaction on ebay,i had a problem.Now seller is not responding of my emails & there is no support of ebay team.U should provide sellers contact No.s too,once a buyer has compleated the payment process.

Yes, I would never think even once , in saying that the e-bay staff is more than friends , in relationships - BUT when there is a problem which asks for more than what has been mentioned in the POLICY BOOKs - there seems to be some PROBLEMS !!!!

Yes, The community , is like a family and NO FAMILY is without its own problems ( and GRUMBLINGS , COMPLAINTS >>>>))

You ask a very good question. And i know sometimes all of you feel that most decisons are international. However this is not the case. Yes there needs to be a lot of collaboration between countries for product and policy decsions since any change on our site affects (unfortunately as you well have said) 32 countries.

So while there is complete autonomy in all people, financial, investment etc decsions we cannot unilaterally change things on product (nor can for that matter bigger markets like UK or Germany without consulting us)

Having said that , one of our jobs is to represent the nascent Indian market as you point out to the the International community and we work hard (though not fast enough for you yet)at that and will try and do even more.

I think you had also visited our office - i do hope you realise that our people are nice and genuinely committed to our community. I know you have sent many postings on the voices mail lists ; sometimes when i see them i know our employees must be demotivated at all the criticism. While i absolutely want you to continue writing in to us with suggestiosn and improvments;i will request you to trust that they are always listening and will do their best.

We already have an option for sellers to offer Cash on Delivery as a payment and shipping option. However, there are some limitations to the feature because of which many of our sellers are not offering this option for buyers. I understand that this is an important payment option in a nascent e-commerce market such as India. We are looking at making improvements which might lead to more sellers offering this feature.

If i am not mistaken you have raised this issue before. And its very impressive that you have seen and are aware of the "it" campaign in the US. I hope you liked it.

The truth is that even in countries like the US TV advertising started many many years after we launched eBay and at a stage when our penetration is very high. It sometimes does not make financial sense to spend on Tv when the market is small (there is a lot of wastage). So at the moment there is no immediate plan to go on TV. However we will be building the brand extensively through internet marketing (i think we are among the biggest spenders online), PR events, on ground events and education as well as partnerships with online savvy users like internet banking and telecom.

Dear Mr. Rohit and eBay.in team , I request you to add some more categories e.g. Display signs , electronic display boards , shop accessories , decor , signage etc. as available on your other international sites.

We sell LED signs and display boards and it is very difficult to find a proper category for the same.

Also kindly inform if we can receive money from our international buyers through paisa pay . At present we have to ask our customers to approach us for our swift code.

kindly arrange for a simple transaction mode for international customers which will certainly help us and eBay to agreat extent.

Firstly, it is heartening that our jewellery sellers are seeing a good response when they list internationally. You may know that we charge an international listing fee to avoid international sellers from flooding the Indian site (else all sellers from US andother places would come and list on India so that they could avoid US listing fees etc) hence we have to be prudent with such promotions. We have to keep these considerations in mind, both when deciding the pricing for international listing, as well as the frequency of such promotions. And hopefully since you are seeing triple sales that will make you use these much more and well worth it - i forgot to mention that we do want to make some money as well :)
More seriously , the exports team will consider this and other such ideas to help you grow international sales as that is something we believe will be great for India.

Dear Gautam,

I would like to ask you a very frank question.
We have interacted on a number of boards and with a very co-operative ebay staff.

The feeling we get is that ebay.in don't have any powers as an individual company.

All the feedbacks received by Buyers & Sellers are forwarded to ebay.com.
It's they who finally decide what's to be done.
( In consultation with 32 other countries)

My simple question is .....

kindly let us know as to what kind of decision making Powers do ebay.in have ?

I am talking in context of local (Indian atmosphere), where Buyer & Seller are still learning to trade on Net and are unable to cope up with our competitors who have 10 years of experience.

ebay.in must have some powers to put an Indian flavour on the site.( A flavour that doesn't need inputs from other countries )

I am truly sorry to hear about your case. Firstly, and most importantly, I hope your son is better. I pray that this Diwali brings more health and happiness for your family.

We are working to make the entire communication between users and us simpler, for any policy violation related actions such as warnings and suspension. I know that some other sellers have asked for phone support - please read my reply a little earlier on the boards. But i think the bigger point you are making is that we need the system to allow users enough time to make changes before any action is taken. We will definitely look into that.

I am delighted with your concern for genuine buyers. Buyer Protection is a big priority starting now and we have a lot of plans to make sure that we simplify our system asap and all through 2006. (i was myself amazed and disappointed that at times we make buyers wait for upto 60 days due to the lengthy process we have). This will change. However a first and important step is to make all buyers aware that we have a protection programme (my guess is that less than 10% of the users on our site
even know about this programme) This itself will build confidence and we will see a lot more buyers on site.

Even my own mother did not know about this - else i am sure she would have bid on one of the lovely sarees that you are selling:) Like i said, this is a priority and we will change this to make it simpler.

One of the strongest benefits for Power Sellers is the recognition within the entire community. In addition, we provide additional thinsg like phone support. One thing which we may not do is to only promote power sellers sicne that makes it slightly unfair for new users. However we would like suggestions from you and our Power Sellers on what kind of benefits would they like to see us offer.

First of all I assure you that if you are eligible for the credits, you will definitely receive them.

There are various promotions that we run for our sellers. The reality, and again i would rather be transparent with you, is that our system is NOT geared for completely automating all these promotions. There are some promotions where the system automatically provides the credits to the sellers, and others, where it takes more time. The choice we had was to either provide only those promotions to the sellers where the system supports automated credits, or to provide more promotions for sellers where they can decide for themselves whether or not to avail of the promotion.

We decided on the latter, and have been running such promotions for a few months now. We will look at automating all promotions - but i fear that this will take a long time as changing billing systems is very complicated.

However this is an interesting debate - if all sellers believe that they would rather not get these types of promotions and only have teh few where automated credits are possible today then we will go with that. Personally i hope that is not the ase as these will be more benefecial for all of you. Again, let me assure you that if you are eligible for the credits, you will definitely receive them.

It was nice of you to visit our office for the voices session. I hope you got a chance to meet the people and got the sense that they are all committed to helping you - our users and community. Sometimes , and i will be honest with you, it is disheartening for our employees to hear our top users complain and allege that eBay employees do not care. I do want to assure you that this is far from the truth. I fully agree that there may be certain policies where the compnay may have a different point of view but we are all committed to helping you and doing the best we can to grow your business (especially since thats the only way we can grow our business)
So please rest assured that we are definitely listening and will be looking into most issues where we can make a change. On a personal level, especially since you have visited our office and met our employees i will request you to continue to reach out to us but i do hope that you will agree that they will all be doing their best to help all our users.

I forgot to address your question on prizes. I believe that your prize had already been despatched but not received. We will be resending one today. Also , please trust that we treat all contests on ebay seriously and that there is absolutely no question of not wanting to send the prizes out. There may have been an oversight in address, courier issues or some other mistake but we will never put together a program which we do not intend to fully execute as mentioned.
