I want to start trading through ebay. To know that which product is in demand, I searched through compeleted items list so much but found so many material is unsold. I clicked on popular search but when I searched the products listed there I found most of those products are unsold, than how can we say those "popular".

Unfortunately eBay India does not permit sale of food items and hence we request you to refrain from listing and selling items in these categories.
Listing of food product / items shall be subject to the sellers procuring the necessary licenses and approvals and to comply with local laws and regulations relating to prevention of food adulteration, packaging and ingredient disclosure requirements.
However, till such time we receive any confirmation or clarity from the Government, sale of food items is strictly prohibited on the site.

I have been advised by e-bay not to post sale of Coffee and Chocolate health beverages. I have seen similar items are being marketted through e-bay in other countries. I would like to know why this disparity shown. What is the reason for not allowing these items to sell through e-bay. After all it is helping the society for good health.

I went through your listings and have some suggestions:
a) Use Gallery- Your listings currently in search pages dont have gallery selected. It is the image of the product that attracts buyers to click on the listing. Please select Gallery for all your listings.
b) You might want to try listing some items under auctions. We have seen that listings under auctions seems to have higher no of visits and better rate of conversion
c) Try listing your items internatially. Products such as Sarees, indian ethnic wear, jewellery, handicrafts are in huge demand internationally

As a seller on eBay, you deliver the product only after you receive the payment from your buyer in full. Once you receive the payment and the payment clears ( in case of cheque), you can ship the product to the buyer.

please tell me that if i receive a mail that your item is sold, should I deliver it without confirming first or whats the procedure. I mean how the payment is received by me before I deliver an item?? And why your site is so silent about explaining such important things to first time users like us???
I understand your disappointment in getting poor response for your product. Since you are a new seller it may take some time for your business to kick off.
I have gone through your listings and have some suggestions:
a)You have used the same title for all your products. Your title must contain the colour, brand name, material and Size ( each size should be a different listing.
b)Write more details in the description. If possible incorporate a Size chart so that buyers are fully aware of what size they are buying.
c)Pictures- Click pictures of the shirt open, probably a modelled picture or on a manequin which helps the buyer to have more clarity on the product.

Sometimes it may take a couple of hours for your listing to show up after you have submitted your listing.
I have tried searching for your listing through the Category search as well as through keywords used in your title and in both cases your listing shows up.

I am first time seller on e bay, I have listed a website for sale www.expertindian.com but when I do a search for find items it does not list. But it shows 6 d plus remaining for bidding on my my ebay account. CAn you pls help.
There are no fees for registering and Listing your products on eBay India. We charge a nominal fee only if your item sells successfully.
The fee structure is as follows: eBay charges 5 % on the final selling price of your product (up to Rs 4000). Thereafter, it is charged at 2.5 % on the remaining amount that exceeds Rs 4000/-.
This is subject to a minimum fee of Rs 3/- per transaction
For e.g. If you sell an Item worth Rs 3000, you will be charged a flat 5 % on Rs 3000 which totals to Rs 150/-. This is the amount you pay incase your product sells successfully (service tax applicable on the invoice amount)
Lets say your item price is Rs 7500, in this case your fees will be calculated on the following
Initial up to Rs 4000- flat 5 % Rs 200/- eBay Fees The difference Rs 3500(7500-4000) Rs 87.50 eBay Fees
Total Fees applicable if you sell at Rs 7500, is Rs 287.50
Note: There are additional Display fees to help promote your products on eBay. However they are optional & will be charged irrespective whether your product sells or not.
