We are glad to announce a new feature that will help members resolve their feedback related disputes. ODR India, the third party dispute resolution service, will now be able to assist our users in the resolving Feedback Disputes. Users will be able to file their feedback case with ODR India, and eBay India is going to accept the Feedback Dispute resolution of ODR INDIA.
All Feedback Disputes should be resolved through Mediation
If you have any Feedback dispute on eBay, which you are unable to solve to your satisfaction after you lodge a complaint using eBay Dispute Resolution Console, you may take assistance of ODR INDIA. It is easy, convenient and also has a special promotional offer exclusive for eBay users till 15th December 2006. Do check out the Conditions to be met for Feedback Withdrawal.

I have one unfair -ve feedback removed by TnS with the help of ODR India as mediator. Easy Process is: 1. Must take the help of your account manager(if have any) 2. Send the ODR India Case outcome mail to inrswebhelp@ebay.com (must include mail header - as a proof of mail authenticity). 3. Keep in touch with your a/c manager and also with TnS. 4. Forward all the response received from TnS to your a/c manager. 5. Wait for approx 2 weeks. Unfair Feedback will be removed.
Its not one shot process, will need proper verification at TnS end before removal.
Main lacuna from ODR End is that, they did not mention in case outcome - whether it is in favour of 1st Party or 2nd Party - they just wrote Case Outcome - Closed. That is the reason in delaying the whole process.
We would like to say that ODR India has been very quick, efficient and responsive to our needs.
The delay is now from eBay's side. We have forwarded the mail to eBay but they want it in a particular format. So we have requested ODR India to do the same and their reply with the changes has come in only 1 business day.
The mail has been forwarded to eBay and we are hoping for the best.
Once again thank you snrama and kudos to ODR India for the professionalism shown.
After forwarding the mail to eBay, They will check and verify with ODR. If the feedback is not justified, they will remove it in 10 days. --------------- With Regards, Navaneeth (snrama)
Thanks for your help. I emailed them and got the following response (I have just pasted the ending of the email in brief):
Buyer Response: No response to emails
ODR INDIA suggestion to seller: Please provide proof of refund made to buyer along with this outcome to eBay TnS
Outcome: Case closed
Note: To complete the processing of this request, please forward the case closure request to the eBay Trust and Safety at ---@ebay.com
Hence doing the following I forwarded the email to Trust & Safety on 27/01/2007. I got a reply stating good to hear that your case is closed.
But the feedback was not withdrawn. I hence emailed them again on 28th asking why the feedback has not been withdrawn when the case tuling was in our favour. We are yet to receive a reply to that email.
I have used ODR India and have successfully withdrawn the negative feedback.
If you have received a mail like "Case **** outcome", then you need to forward to eBay(inrswebhelp@ebay.com) to process the case.
If you haven't received any such mail, then send a mail to ODR India stating that you haven't received the outcome with the case number with requesting to withdraw the feedback.
Hope my post helps you. --------------- With Regards, Navaneeth (snrama)
We are here to share our feedback obout ODR India with our experience:
We filed a case on 23/11/2006 (Case ID: 1895) for an Unfair Neutral Feedback received by us.
On 5th December as there was still no response from buyer we got an email from ODR India stating that a reminder has been sent to the buyer.
After that we had no contact or update from ODR India. So on 17th December we sent them an email requesting an update. They do not reply and all of a sudden the case is closed. As there has been no reply from buyer the Neutral Feedback we thought would be withdrawn.
But it is not. So we send a reminder mail asking for an update of the situation. Again no reply.
In short: We don't think anybody is sitting at ODR India for mediation or customer service.
No communcation, No action. All show, no substance.
For the records all emails to ODR India were sent to odr_admin@odrindia.com
I think it is a great idea to have a Community panel to resolve feedback related issues. If you remember, Gautam in his open house had asked Community's suggestions on the same. It is an idea which is being exlored and if anything on these lines are finalized, I will keep you all posted.
On your point on ODR India payment Process:
I dont think ODR India will be able to accept PaisaPay, because PaisaPay currently supports only eBay India. I dont think PaisaPay currently has any plans to support other sites. However, I will forward your suggestion to PaisaPay team.
I think, unwelcome feedback left only to extrot feedack score, will be handled by T&S and will be withdrawn instantly. Others, which a member thinking should be removed but not getting removed as per Feedback Removal policy may be Mediated by ODR. If the case is like that, Rs. 500/- is not too much for a seller. But obviously it is in higher side for a buyer.
I personally applied one case to ODR, lets see how it is useful. I will post my experience here, after getting result.
Yet if the system is useful specially for -ve feedback withdrawl, I wont bother to pay Rs. 500/- for a seldom Feedback Extortion Case. -Ve feedback is not a general case, it may max 2/3 cases per year.
Most important thing is how the system will work and how much it is accepted to eBay and How Long?
Hi, I am trying to sell my laptop on eaby for last 2 months, every time someone is winning the bid and not paying for it. I am opening dispute for it and getting FCV, and buyer an unpaid item strike. Is there any action taken for nonpaying buyer, like account cancellation or some penality because most of the buyers do the bidding just for fun. I think some serious action must be taken for nonpaying buyer or fake sellers. Regards, Jitendra
Hi,I am ready to pay 500 for reinstatement of an arab buyer of mine.He was paying three three hundred, five five hundred instead of my sixty bucks shipping. But can I apply for his reinstatement???He is too proud to apply himself. Thanx, Truly, Amitava
500 rupees to sovle a feed back problem......hmmm. It sounds more like that to me, stay away dont bother us with your feedback problems, we dont care, because eBay.in is for rich people only.
It was good to see that till 15th Dec. 06 this service of ODRIndia is free. So anybody having feedback dispute should rush to avail this offer. However, after 15th Dec. the charge of Rs. 500 just to resolve a Feedback dispute seems to be too high in Indian context, at least in my opinion. Anyway , nobody is compelling others to take this service.
I have a complain about this ODRIndia payment process. The company is ODRIndia , they are resolving the disputes of members of eBay India, so they are business associates of eBay India too, but for online payment they have mentioned only about PayPal (at least in the links provided by you). Why are they not accepting PaisaPay payment ? If they are accepting that then why are they promoting only PayPal for online payment ? Are they scared about the sporadic delay in PaisaPay payment verifications ? If your associates don't accept payments thru PaisaPay and instead promote just the PayPal then I think that's a horrendous situation. Hope someone from your end will be able to persuade them to accept PaisaPay payment , at the earliest.
I have a suggestion. You can open a board to resolve Feedback Disputes. Let the members put their Feedback disputes there. On intimation of that, let us see the posts from the other party. Then let the community members decide which member is correct or persuade them to go for a mutual withdrawal. I am sure that will resolve many Feedback disputes. If mutual withdrawal is not desirable then on receipt of the views of the community members, some eBay official can judge the case and take appropriate decision, specially where if some member has truly taken the retaliatory approach. By this method we can have a free Feedback Dispute. If you want you can even charge ~10% of the ODRIndia charges for non-mutual Feedback withdrawal to suffice for your involvement. Hope some efficient mechanism will be adopted to stop the retaliatory approach to Feedback, prevalent among a sizeable number of members. . Best Regards Swarup Kolkata
If the seller does not respond, the response will be considered as no response, reviewer will be assigned to the case, and the Negative feedback will be withdrawn.
I hope that asnwers your questions. Please write back if you have further querry.
Sir, What does the buyer do if the seller simply keeps mum, does not reply to the message on the ODR.Is ebay &/or ODr taking any action on the seller? I made a purchase on ebay first time(perhaps last) in my life.Made the payment & it's been like 45 days.Nothing has been done.Writing to the customer support yields nothing & you get a pre printed & formatted mail, with nothing relevent. Regards Vimal
